- Wedding: July 2016 - Not Decided Yet
It happened bees, it finally happened! After 5 ½ years of waiting, my SO, now FI proposed! I can’t stop smiling and neither can he, but I just have to share our story and pics of my ring with all of you.My FI wanted this whole weekend to be special, so the festivities started last night. We went out for a fancy dinner, which is something that we don’t do very often so I was a little suspicious. After dinner we headed home and he told me that part two of our date would be tomorrow. The rest of the night we just hung out and took it easy.
This morning when I woke up there were two-dozen red roses on our kitchen table with a really sweet note attached. He had music on as he made breakfast and once we were both ready he told me we were going to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens for the day. In the back of my head I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up – he had made it very clear that the ring was still in production and that our families were too busy this weekend so he could not ask. We walked all around and finally stopped to take a few pictures by the waterfall gardens. There he read to me the most sweet and romantic love letter and eventually got down on one knee. I was shocked and I just kept saying, “there is no way this is happening” and “are you serious”. Of course I said “yes” and the rest is history.
It is crazy how this is all happening; I thought I had a while longer left to wait. I feel bad now since I kept bugging him for months. Apparently he ordered the ring from Blue Nile in September and the ring took 5 weeks to make. He said keeping it a secret from me was the hardest thing he has ever had to do but it was so worth putting up with me. I am sooo happy! That being said here are some pics of the ring. It is an Oval Halo from Blue Nile. Internally Flawless, H Color, Very Good Cut, 1.01 center stone, Band and Halo consist of 42 small dimonds, size 5.
