Weddingbee boards

FI (goodness, that feels good to type) proposed this weekend!  He took me out to Paulina Lake in Central Oregon to go snowmobiling for my birthday (was Friday).  He reserved a rustic cabin and a snowmobile for the weekend.  Friday night he set up a mini-post Christmas scene in our cabin with a tiny tree, twinkle lights, and tinsel because he knows Christmas is my favorite time of year.  Then, Saturday morning, we went out on the snowmobile and drove up to Paulina Peak.  We climbed to the top of the peak (elevation 8,000 ft), and he got down on one knee and handed me a poem he's been working on for over a year.  After I started reading, he starts reaching for his pocket, and so I skipped to the end of the poem real quick to see if it was really happening, and the last lines were "Will you say 'I do'?".  I confessed to having skipped to the end and then tried to read the rest of it through my tears (somewhat unsuccessfully), and he pulled out the gorgeous estate ring I'd been lusting after for almost a year!  It's a massive emerald cut aquamarine solitaire with diamond bows set in platinum.  He'd told me it sold long ago, but apparently that was because he'd bought it! Thanks, ladies! I am dreading having to send this thing out to be sized... it's 3 sizes too big and I've literally got it tied to my hand with a string so I can wear it.  FI had it tied to the string when he proposed because he was afraid I'd drop it in the snow with my shaking hands.  Considering I dropped the box, he wasn't far off the mark!

Congrats mountains are romantic... my honeymoon was on top of a mountain, but he proposed at the beach. You are probably on cloud nine... congrats! Now go plan that wedding! :)
