That’s what you get for listening to him on the phone!

I was also engaged at 30 and married and 31 so I get it.  My husband is younger so he did not get it.  Still doesn’t get why I want to get a move on fixing up the house so we can have a place to put a kid… I’m going to be 32 this winter!

Anyway, chill.  If he said as late as November, try to put it out of your mind until Thanksgiving, otherwise ever occasion that could be special will be ruined because he didn’t propose.  Also use it as an excuse to get your nails done more often (just don’t tell him that).

I know you’re anxious but maybe he wants to surprise you??? You knowing every single detail of what is going on won’t surprise you when he finally proposes! It sounds like you’re both on the same page about it so just let him take over and surprise you. I hope you get your ring soon!

You just never know how crafty a guy can be until he surprises you…just because YOU think you know when and where he goes anywhere does not mean he hasn’t already gotten this taken care of…and what about online shopping?   If you gave him the specs ahead of time, what’s the point of going to a jeweler anyway?  I would have had it set and sized and shipped to a friend’s house…especially if I knew you were watching me like a hawk 😉

Keep the faith lady, he’s got it well in hand!

@Ali-oop:  Sure.  I’ve ordered stuff over the phone.

he knows the style and your size.  All they have to do is put his CC number thru the system Wink

try not to nag – guys don’t forget to buy engagement rings when they want to get married.   Have a little faith.

Sometimes it seems like so many of us are dating the same guy. My SO will sit on the couch and read a book all calm and happy and in my head I’m thinking WHAT ARE YOU DOING, READING A BOOK ALL CALM AND HAPPY!!! GO AND BUY A RING ALREADY! Now whenever I see/think (since we are in an LDR) that I just go and find something to keep my mind off it, especially since I’m not super sure he wants to marry me at all and thinking about things will just drive me nuts.

@Ali-oop:  Oh yes you can order a ring over the phone, that’s how my sister got her ring!  I helped FI order since he works in a call center, besides, I’m one fast talking lady, had that thing set, sized and ready for pick up in under an hour!

I’m confused, why couldn’t he have gone to the jewellers between 11am and 2pm? Or even early in the morning or later in the afternoon? How far away is the store?

Hopefully your SO is going to surprise you. If he gave you a timeline til the end of November, try not to stress yourself silly under after then.

So how do you know he didn’t go? He could have gone early morning? Between 11 and 2 when he called? Or after the vet?

I think you need to CHILL OUT. He’s going to propose, he’s made that clear. However, if you pester and stress about stuff, you’ll ruin it for everyone. Just relax! Seriously!

@Ali-oop:  I’m so happy everything’s working out for you.  Now it’s time to relax and wait for the proposal!  (:
