Weddingbee boards

It has been a looooong time coming. For a variety of reasons, he has delayed telling his kids about me. He is visiting his daughter this weekend and promised to tell her. I was nervous that he'd chicken out. He was worried that she wouldn't take it well.

He told her, and guess what! She was cool with it. I haven't talked to him yet, but he texted me and said she is looking forward to meeting me. Yay!!!! 

I think the kids thing is part of the reason that 5 months after we bought a ring I am still a waiting bee. I am so excited and I just had to share! 

Thanks for the support, bees. I'm pretty thrilled, especially seeing how excited and de-stressed it makes him. Now he just has to tell the son, which should happen in July. It just so happens I have a work trip to the city where the son (21) lives. SO is going to fly out to spend the weekend with me, visit with his son, and then hopefully introduce us.

Lots of reasons, Bellenga. I could write pages.... I think the biggest factor was that although they've been separated (by over 1000 miles) for years, the divorce was not officially final until 4 months ago. I think he thought it was not appropriate to tell them until it was all finalized, and since he wanted to tell them in person and hasn't seen them since November, he waited until their visit.
