Can you give some detail about your venue, colors and wedding style? What type of head table are you having and how many people will be sitting at it? Hope to hear all the nitty-gritty!

Sure! I believe that we are having the plain old rectangular head table with 12 people. We will be on a riser. Our venue has a lodge-type feel. We have an outdoors, rustic theme. For example, we are using a lot of red flowers (dahlias, roses, etc.) with cattails and prairie grasses. I've also collected a lot of pinecones. It sounds like it would be kind of corny, but I think if everything is in balance, it will look really nice and will really be "us." I'd like to do something with candles or lights or something. I'm up for all kinds of suggestions though. Thank you!

For some reason I think it would look totally awesome to line the headtable with different sized vases containing candles... but not too tall. When it got dark (or if it was already dark) the bridal party would glow and it would make for some really awesome pictures of you and your husband. Plus the light would be the focal point of the room.
Maybe instead of lining... cluster the candles in like groups of 5 (3 larger ones and two votives)- I would then possibly do something with the flowers and pinecones- definitley something short so everyone can see you :)
Possibly in the middle of the table some sort of log? Maybe carve out the middle and place some flowers in it? Melt some tall candles to it and light them?
I just don't think balloons and tulle is appropiate for the theme...

Hello!
I was just wondering if anybody knew of any websites, Knottie profiles, etc. that would have some pictures of head table decor? Maybe you have some suggestions of something you used for your wedding? I'm looking for something kind of unique...something other than the draped tulle. My bridemaids bouquets will be displayed in vases, but that's about all I have so far. Thanks!
