Did any Bees go on a healthy diets when they got pregnant? I was reading up on how certain food can help your maintain a good weight and even help keep some stretch marks away. Could you share some of your favorite healthy dishes or snacks while you pregnant.

oOmrsstopaOo: I already ate healthy before I got pregnant so I’ve kept it up (when morning sickness wasn’t dictating what I felt like eating!) Nothing too trendy or out there, just lots of fruits, veggies, organic stuff when possible, whole grains, “real food” (like nothing super processed or junk food), etc. I’m 30 weeks now and have felt pretty good so far! I’ve gained a little less than 20 pounds, so not really less than normal or anything but I’m happy with it. Here’s some stuff my husband and I like to eat:
Green smoothie: kale, spinach, vanilla greek yogurt, frozen pinapple, green grapes, squeeze of lemon, water, extra ice (you can also add chia seeds or flax seeds) the pineapple makes it sweet it is so good!
“Sweet” Salad: spinach and butter lettuce salad with pecans and/or walnuts, carrots, apples, strawberries, pea pods, optional sprinkle of cheddar cheese, and a sweet dressing like poppy seed.
Whole grain pasta with alfredo sauce (ok, it’s high calorie but it is soooo good): Sauteed onions, garlic, broccoli and frozen peas, cook cauliflower seperately and puree. Add veggies and pour a can of all-natural alfredo sauce (or make your own) over whole grain pasta and add 1/3 cup canned organic pumpkin and some sprinkles of ham bits or bacon bits. The sauce is fatty but by the time you add in all the veggies I feel like it’s not soooo bad haha.
Apples with peanut butter
Congrats to you!!!

MrsAKSkier: thank you and congratulation to you to. It will be my first baby so of course I’m researching everything lol. Your response was awsome I can’t wait to try those dishes. I never even thought about adding pumpkin to my pasta that sounds so yummy.
