I’m considering adding a heart rate monitor to my christmas list and need some advice.
So I know the ones with the chest straps are more accurate, but I’m wondering if you have to buy a strap and watch separately, or if they come together?
I’m not sure what type of model I should get. Right now my weekly workouts look like this:
– 1 bodypump session
-1 body attack (1 hour of cardio with 2 cardio peaks)
-pilates fusion (pilates mixed with circuit training)
-cx works (1/2 hour core class) + 20 mins running on the treadmill
– body flow (yoga/ pilates mix)
I’m also hoping add an interval bootcamp after the holidays. In the spring and summer I try to run 1-2x a week, so a gps function would be nice, but probably not necessary.
I basically want to start to get a more accurate picture of what my calorie burn is like at the gym, so I can be more accurate with MFP. I’m kinda small so I know I don’t burn anywhere near the “averages” in the les mills classes.
If I could find one under $150 that would be a bonus!
