I haven't been in a similar situation, but I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am. The research field is tricky, especially trying to secure grants for funding this sort of research in the present economy. I hope a new opportunity opens up for you soon.
There is an infertility thread/group on the babies board I use to be a part of. From what I remember, I think some of the ladies were dealing with possible IVF. IVF was our only option too for bio children but we decided against it. I understand how you are feing and I'm so terribly sorry. Hugs!

Have you ever read 'chapters' blog? From the brief story you've posted you may find it as a source of support. Her story has recently taken a turn for the better but it's been years of a strong faith in god. She is very real in all of her feelings and relationship with God in her desire for children.

So a few months ago I was accepted to a study to do IVF through a local research hospital starting in October. Well I just received the email that the funding has been pulled for the program and the study has been cancelled. I'm so HEARTBROKEN. It's already hard enough knowing that IVF is my main way to give birth to a child. Unless God puts a seriously miracle my way, which is possible. My heart is just heavy right now. I have some serious tears running down my face at work. UGH..
Has anyone on here had problems like this or done IVF etc. Before ...
