I had the same problem. In the end I discussed it with the hubs and he said he'd rather me love the shoes. So I got shoes that made me about an inch taller than him. I swapped into flats at the reception so we have photos of both of us at the same height and photos where I'm a bit taller. It also totally depended on the angles the photos were taken at.

FI is about 2-3 inches taller than me. Heels put us on equal footing or even gives me a bit of an edge. No big deal. But when it comes to wedding photos....I want him to be taller.
I have a pair of shoes that are the right height I think. They're plain ballroom dancing shoes (comfy to wear and dance in, plus I like the sueded bottoms) that come in black or nude.
I may just take the shoes I've got and work with them to turn them into something a bit more fabulous.
Has anyone else had trouble finding awesome shoes in low heel heights? I don't want to wear flats.
