Does your venue include food? If not you will need a caterer. What about an officiant? And what will your ceremony look like? Will you need to hire musicians to play ceremony music?
Musicians. Yeah, I forgot that one. Or ... I'll make J do it. Haha.
Officiant... we sort of have. Have to ask him, but he's a friend, so I don't think it'll be a problem.
Venue includes food, all of which I can figure out way later.
Bridal party we're going to ask as soon as we get engaged 'officially' (I am CHAMPING at the bit to ask my girls, hahahaha....).
Registries... when are those typically done?
You can do registries as soon as you want, but in enough time so people can get gifts for the wedding. We have already registered at once place and going to our second one on the 4th of next month. You'll need them done for the showers too.
i'm in your boat! i'm waiting for the ring now but my immidiate family knows as does his and a few of our best friends. i realllly want to tell my other girls too but i feel like i should wait. we're to wed 10/30 and so we dont have much time either. All i've got done is a inspiration board and a guest list...and i've made my veil.
we should probably get on this, huh?
@Jenn - yeah!!! Wanna work together, haha... have you guys looked into venues yet? We were planning on January originally, but our dream venue was totally booked except two weekends in October, so we were like, "ggaaaaaaah gotta get the date nowwwwww" and booked right away, haha. And suddenly instead of a year, I have eight months! Yeek!
@daydream, i've looked and contacted a few and the most expensive one def has that date avail...i just dont think i want to spend $71-92 a plate! how crazy!
the others have yet to get back to me, since i only contacted them yesterday. this week we're going to actually visit these place and see. i'm kind of freaking out! but all of my girls know now, so i'm excited about that.
where in West Mich is the wedding? GR? Kzoo? I lived in Kzoo for a few years and my FI is from GR so I'm fairly familiar. :)
@Jenn - we're getting married in Grand Rapids. We both grew up there. :) Fortunately we were able to find a place that's a lot cheaper than $72/head, haha, or we would've been inviting like 65 people. ;)

haha yeah i suppose it is...i'm used to metro detroit and so when i travel to west michigan i think "wow, so small!" :)
