Exciting!!!!!
Welcome to the hive it is a wonderful place to wait!
aww welcome! definately keep us updated on everything, but out of curiosity you guys are from two different countries? how did you meet and everything?
Welcome! I just read another "intro" post and realized that I've been on here talking to people and maybe I should introduce myself...so now you have to check mine out! Congrats on being so in love, isn't it the BEST feeling in the world?! (And in our situation, sometimes the most frustrating!) :P
I am from another European country, but I moved to the UK five years ago and I have lived here since. I met my BF at university, though we didn't date back then. After he graduated we didn't see each other for a few years, then I bumped into him one day at a pub, and he asked me out :) We had an amazing first date and the rest is history as they say ;)

I only joined this forum a few days ago, and I would like to share my story so far :)
I have been with my boyfriend for almost a year now (anniversary on 7 April), and I am more in love with him than I have ever been. Over the past couple of months I have been doing a lot of thinking, and have realised that he is the man I want to marry.
I am in my mid-twenties and he is 31.
The first time I brought up how I feel was shortly before Christmas. I casually asked "What would your family say if we got married in my home country?" I responded that it might be difficult for his parents and elderly relatives to travel overseas for the wedding, and then he said "How would your family feel about coming over here"? Feeling more encouraged by this response, I asked him a few days later: "If we were to get engaged, would you want me to tell you which ring I want or pick one yourself?" He smiled and said he would pick one himself as he knows he would pick a good one.
On Valentine's Day he told me he thinks I am the love of his life, which was amazing to hear, and I've been beaming for days :)
So far, he has not proposed (not that I have been expecting it though, as it's only been a year). I brought it up a few days ago. We ended up having a long conversation about the future of our relations, and he said he will propose to me when he feels the time is right. He is looking for a new job at the moment and he wants to buy a house, so he told me that he doesn't want to get married before those things have been sorted out. It looks like the job thing will get sorted fairly soon though, so maybe a proposal later this year is not too far-fetched :)
