ooo thats going to look awseome, id have a few tea light candles around the centrepiece to really set it off! great job and welcome to WB!
Hello and welcome to the bee :-)
It looks like you have a nice start on your centerpeices. I would need to know your vision before I could answer your question though. Do you have a picture of your venue? What kind of look are you going for? What about setting up a mock table?
@noritake22- here are a few pics of my venue... and some inspiration that i found... i just love the idea of the black and white damask and pops of green and orchids are my favorite sooooo lol.
Thank you, and wow!!!
I think what you are putting together is perfect :-)
Great job!!!
I think they look great but agree with the tea lights around them and maybe a mirror underneath them.
beautiful...and your venue looks awesome! My wedding is in Oct and I have not even thought about center pieces yet. eeepp!
I like them, but they do seem to need a bit more of something (esp with the high ceilings of your venue -- love it!)
I like the ones from this post, if you have a damask theme:

It has a little more fullness, oomph. Like that you are alternating.
thank you every one! i will definately be putting a ton of candles on the table!!! i have mirrors but havent decided if ill use them yet... hrmmm... i will have to post an updated picture once i have the linens in. :)
Welcome to weddingbee!
I agree VERY cute but i also agree with the tea lights around them and a mirror underneath.
You need more height or volume to them, since your venue seems to have such high ceilings. If you don't want to change, then the tea lights and mirrors will help relfect the light and make them appear larger. Very good DIY!
ooo i love everything you showed us!! it is going to look gorgeous!!
I think they look great, but the shorter one seems a little awkward with the stem flow. After reading the other bees, I would suggest maybe altering the shorter one into a taller version.
thanks again everyone... after some consideration i have decided to do some TALL tall ones... and then the tall one i posted on here... i am getting curly willow branches for free!!! after posting an ad for them on craigslist so i am super excited that it wont cost too much for me to do all of them!!! soooo yay! im throwing the super short one out the window! my inspiration >v
Hi,
If you want to keep the cost low for your centerpieces, have you thought about renting them?? If you are in the MA, RI, CT, VT, ME, NJ, PA, DE area, we rent out all sort of centerpieces at decent prices.
Hi centerpiece twin! (except I'm using purple orchids) Are those orchids in your trial silk or real? I honestly can't tel! And if they are silk, did the color bleed into the water? Reason being, I keep hearing that if you use slik, the color bleeds. Any how, I think they look fabulous! I second the bees who think there should be votive candles around it. I also LOVE your linen choice.
um so this was my first post ever!!!! and i just love reminiscing! :)
@Firefighter_Bride: its was great!!! a few things went wrong but no one but me noticed (of course) :) i still dont think it has sunk in that i am a married woman!!
LOL That's wonderful!! I'm probably going to be the exact some way! It isn't going to sink in for awhile! :)

hi there everyone, so im brand new, this is my first post! although im not gonna lie i have been reading the posts on here since i got engaged, i just now registered though. anyways, i have started a few DIY projects, and my centerpieces were one of the first. what do you think? my colors are black and white, the table clothes are going to be white with black runners with damask pattern on them, then every other table will have a tall or short centerpiece with tealights and votives all around.
