We just moved here in September and haven't been to any weddings here yet and I am definately searching for a florist and a baker! I will let you know if I find anything. What's your date?
Hi Mrs Starfish - our date is 8-14-10. We are tentively booked at one of the resorts and I can utilize FI fam as resources but I want other options. The preferred vendors list provided are a little pricey for our small wedding
Hey Mrs. Starfish, I am a Myrtle Beach bride, getting married August 7, 2010. We are getting married at St. Andrews Church with reception at Pine Lakes Country club. I think we are getting our cake from Croissants Bakery, but have not picked a florist yet. My photographer gave us a suggestion of a florist who she said does wonders with a small budget. Good Luck!
Jaydee: We stopped by the venue yesterday. The construction is almost done! It is much more "neutral". Yellowish walls and yellow and light blue carpet! Ceilings look great too! I was so excited to see how nice it looks and they are the colors of our wedding.
I'm not getting married there, but will be coming down for my bachelorette party. Crocodile Rocks!!! I LOVE that place
I'm originally from that area, and had my first wedding there. (I went to St. Andrews for middle school, baharris!) His hometown wouldn't happen to be Georgetown, would it - that's where I'm from! Try Incredible Edibles in Pawleys Island for your cake - and tell Miss Myra I said hi. That cake was absolutely delicious!! I can't help with florist b/c my mom's best friend is a floral designer in NY - she flew down to do the flowers and we had them shipped in wholesale. If you're getting bridal portraits done, you might try Paige Sawyer Photography in Georgetown. Good luck!
The Mister is from Latta; near Dillon.
Mrs Starfish - that is so good to hear. I was in contact with Brinda this past week b/c I want a non alcoholic bar, so that the under 21 and others that don't drink don't have to wait. She told me no worries that they will have that for me.
I'm hoping to come down soon seeing we are approaching the 9 month mark.
The Florist info she gave me is:

Lazelle's Flower Shop

(843) 448-3433 101 Broadway St Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
We went to a meeting with Blossoms in Murrells Inlet and it was super expensive!
aaww we wanted to get married in Myrtle Beach! That's where we got engaged on the beach, but we decided to do more of a downtown feel. I know your weddings will gorgeous!
I'm a little late to this board! I'm getting married in MB on May 1. We got great deals on both a venue and a baker. Let me know if anyone needs any advice!
@baharris: who are you working with at Pine Lakes? I'm getting married at the Members Club at Grande Dunes which is part of that whole company.
@Candy_Nee I am working with Lori Boggs, she is awesome!!! I love the Members Club, So grand!
I just happened to see this post, and I'm not a Myrtle Beach bride, but we are doing our mini honeymoon there! We only had 5 days, and it's driving distance, so we thought it'd be perfect! Any thoughts on things we definitely shouldn't miss??
@Jaydee We are using Studio6 for DJ, Flowers in the Forest for flowers, and The Market Commons Piggly Wiggly (don't let the name fool you they are beautiful cakes), Davids Wedding Photography for pics.... let me know if you want any contact info for them.
@MrsMdphd: Don't miss broadway at the beach. They have fireworks on Tuesdays during tourist season. Also Brookgreen Gardens if you can make it down there there is also an old castle ruins at the Huntington Beach state park which is right across the street from Brookgreen gardens. Pelicans baseball. If there is anything else I can help you with or you are wondering about let me know. We came here many years for vaca before we moved here so I love all the touristy spots and know some of the nice local things now too!
I can't beleive I haven't found this board until now!! I wish I would have found it sooner when I was trying to find all my vendors!!! I am excited to see so many other Myrtle Beach Brides. My date is July 24th, and here are my vendors...

So Far I have been really happy with all my vendors.
What are or have the MB brides done for Rehersal Dinner? I"m curious to know where some of you had your dinner. Thanks
I did not get married at Myrtle Beach but we were married in Bald Head Island, NC and one of our vendors was from Myrtle Beach.
We used Gene Ho photography and their sister company Ella Grey for our videos. We just got back our pics and they turned out great. The video still has some time. Everyone there is awesome. We had Scott.
