First time poster!
I’ve been engaged for just over a month now! Excited to finally get started with the big plans!
So far we just have our reception venue secured. We are having a catholic ceremony, and struggling to find a church! (My curent headache!!!) and our reception is going to be at our fav local craft brewery here in Kansas City, (http://www.boulevard.com/facility-rental/rooms/muehlebach-suite/). We are SO excited for the reception!! He proposed on a Friday, and I emailed the facility the next day.
I have my dress picked out, which was harder than you would imagine. I work for a bridal designer which made my decision even worse! I feel double pressure to have the absolute perfect dress!! I have decided to customize a dress from our Spring 2014 line, so no photos of it!! My biggest thing was i didn’t want a dress that I would have to sell to either stores or brides at trunkshows. (not gonna say what designer I work for! Don’t want to seem too biased!
Now I’m trying to decide the best way to get the reception to match the venue, dress & somehow still feel relaxed. Our venue is a no landfill facility so no ‘nice’ plastic plates can be used. Its either compostable paper plates, or real plates. I’m leaning towards real plates but I have to convince my fiance on that one!!! He actually expects my caterer to wash off plastic disposble plates so they can be recycled…. wtf?? right?!No one is going to do that!!
I’m just ready for the big day to be here already!!! =)
