*Peeking in...* I'm not a Louisianian but I have family in NOLA and it's like my second home :-) I'm jealous of anyone who gets to have their wedding in this fabulous city!!!!
Hey Mrs. BOP, I know there are way more out there I don't know where they are!!!
I'm not from N.O. but I just wanna say that whenever I read the title of this thread I think it reads Hell No!...lol
I'm from New Orleans, but will be moving soon to Denver. My family still lives here, as well as the family of my fiance. And I found my wedding dress in Metairie.
I live in Baton Rouge and am a waiting bride an an event planner!! I lived in Chalmette for a year before I mvoed here.
i know this is an old post, but i was curious if there were any other nola brides out there? if so, hello + welcome!
I grew up in NOLA and I can't wait to show my FI the beautiful city I grew up in. Someone please go eat a po boy and let me live vicariously through you!
Oops! I didn't even see this post! I'm from New Orleans area (was married there too) and now live in BR! :)
@ balletflat: I am in Baton Rouge as well!! How cool is that?!
Ooo...there are BR bees!! Hmm..maybe if there are enough of us, we should totally coordinate a GTG :).
If we can't find more than us, we can definitely still do a meet and greet!!!
Sounds like a plan! Let me start to think of some dates in the fall that would seem good (avoiding important football games, of course)!
I'm in Baton Rouge, but my wedding will be in NOLA...
GEAUX TIGERS! :)
Just in case y'all are just watching this thread, I posted about a GTG on the NOLA board here if anyone is interested in meeting up sometime this Fall!
Hi! Im a New Orleans bride.... living in Houston, currently freaking out about all things wedding related!
Are any of you coming to the Alfred Angelo show on the 26th (Girl's night out) or the Old Governor's Mansion something old something new show on the 30th? I am actually a vendor at both shows and will be there (I'm an event designer). The Governor's mansion will be really fun, they are serving blue martinis....
crebre80: oh, hadn't heard about those events. the old govener's mansion [along with oak alley] is where i took my bridals. lovely place!
balletflat: i posted in the other thread - i'd be intersted in la gtg! keep me posted :]
Hi everyone! I don't live in NOLA, but I'm going for a quick vacation there for Halloween! Any suggestions on where to stay/what to do/eat?
Ooh, on Halloween night definitely go to Frenchmen Street (and wear a costume)!
Go to City Park's Sculpture Garden. Take the streetcar. Bowl and listen to music at Rock n Bowl in Mid-City. Take a Ghost Tour. Wander through the Bywater (not at night, though).
Eat at Mona Lisa Pizza on Royal Street in the Quarter (casual dinner), The Cake Cafe on Chartres Street (breakfast), Jacques-Imo's on Oak Street (slightly more expensive dinner), Le Croissant d'Or on Ursulines (breakfast or lunch), Commander's Palace (fancy dinner or upscale lunch with $.25 martinis), Juan's Flying Burrito (cheap lunch or dinner) ... We've got the best food in the country here!
Hi everyone, I am a New Orleans Bride who still lives here. Can't wait "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez", for those who don't know (LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL).
