Welcome Chianti to the hive! And especially to the Encore board! We're a fun, laid back group here and we'll encourage you every step of the way!
Oh and Congratulations!
There seems to also be alot of Gocco advice here too..so enjoy and let it all sink in!!! We have very creative bees all over the hive and many have gone the DIY route too..that's also a separate board here as well as invites which may help you too. Heck, this WHOLE place helps a girl out ya know???
Glad you're here :)
Hi Chianti! Welcome to the hive! I am fairly new myself and lovin it already! There's always new people you're going to meet and good advice whenever you're in need. Glad that you're a member of the bee! Congrats on your engagement!
Hi Chianti! Congratulations on your engagement! I don't know what I would do with all of my extra time if I hadn't found Weddingbee
You will get great tips and ideas here as well as some great advice. It has been a life saver for me during my planning. Welcome!
Welcome! Chianti, Congrats on your engagement! I am a weddingbee addict! Most of my friends are busy with their own lives and I know they get sick of me when all I want to do is talk about wedding stuff! Weddingbee has been a perfect place to get ideas and inspirations! Also I love hearing about everyone's wedding and being able to share opinions!
Welcome to the board, and congratulations! I am looing forward to hearing all about your wedding!
Juliemd414 -- I know what you mean about others...sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who cares about my wedding. While my family isn't against the wedding, they aren't jumping in offering to help either. And when I bring things up, it seems like they'd rather be doing anything but listening. So, yes, it's nice to feel some commardarie with other brides who also just want to share their ideas and thoughts!
Thanks eveybody for the encouraging and welcoming words. It really does mean a lot. I'm still in the early stages of planning, but will definitely share more as things begin to pick up. At the moment, though, it's tough given the fact that I'm unemployed with bills that just don't seem to go away no matter how much I'd like them to! :0( It just makes for extra stress, as if planning a wedding in and of itself isn't stressful enough!
OH....and BTW - I did take the plunge and buy the Gocco...FI and I figured it was cheaper than a color laser printer and the replacement cartriges. Guess we'll find out soon enough!

After weeks of pouring over the pages of this site and getting so much inspiration and ideas, I decided it was time to join in the conversation. Though relatively new to the whole online community scene, it seems I like it more than I thought! I've even taken the plunge and started a wedding website - gasp!
I'm recently engaged to a wonderful man, and newly graduated from college still looking for a job...which, BTW, makes planning a wedding REALLY difficult! I'm trying to keep the faith that it will all work out sooner or later...but sooner would be better!
We are planning a simple yet elegant wedding on April 10th and we've already set the venue. I'm in the midst of designing our invites...a task which is fun, but there's this war going on inside of me as to which way to go....pocketfolds, or single sheets?...Gocco or not?...it's become the sole focus of my planning these days. I KNOW my loving and patient FI will be glad when this phase is finished! I really can't blame him...I'm making myself a bit crazy.
I'm excited to be a member of this wonderful community and, most especially to see that there's a place on this site for those of us who have been down this road before, with less than stellar results. It's nice to know you aren't the only one!
