Totally feel you on this!  There’s so much money in our savings account, and to know that all of it will disappear over the next 2 weeks is so stressful!  But that’s what this money has been saved for, so I guess i just have to let it go…

I think we all feel that way!! The brightside is – once it’s all said and done, you probably won’t ever see money flying away from your bank account so fast ever again! (At least, not in those quantities). 🙂

@SoonToBeMrsD921:  Money bleeds out of the bank the month leading up to your wedding lol.  Just be glad that after the wedding, you won’t be faced with wedding bills, even if your account is a little more empty 🙂

@SoonToBeMrsD921:  Hey! I totally feel your pain date twin.  Me and FH will have saved for 16 months total for a pretty formal wedding for 150 people and because my taste is nowhere close to casual or vintage chic and I don’t have the patience to DIY, I cannot even say I tried really try hard to focus on finding inexpensive ways to do things.  Since I did most of the planning we just focused on saving enough to not end up in a ton of debt.  We’re using the Amex to pay for things and then paying it off each month so we don’t have to pay any interest.  But I’m avoiding paying this month’s bill until the last minute because I cringe at seeing all that hard earned money disappearing in a vacuum that sucks it all up.

But we aren’t neglecting the more important things. We have a house, cars, good jobs, benefits, 401Ks, and no children yet.  We don’t have student loans either so it’s more about how much this could have helped our long term savings.  But it’s worth it to have this experience once in our lives.  Out of the over 30,000 days most of us women will live on this earth we deserve to have at least one that isn’t focused on being frugal or thrifty if that’s what we want and can afford.  But yup I still have to finalize all the things you mentioned, Guest Book, Menus, Programs, Placecards, Favors and yup I’m all over Etsy buying things I totally don’t need cause how many times can I get a blinged out hanger with my name on it except for on my wedding day?  And I cannot wear the headpiece or dress that I will have any other day but my wedding day without looking like a mad woman so I’m doing it!Laughing

@SoonToBeMrsD921:  Me too!  And my vehicle just broke down to boot so I know that’s going to be an added unplanned for expense.

@SoonToBeMrsD921:  I know!! I’m like the freaking Tasmanian Devil on Etsy. It usually goes something like this…Ooh! that is so cute. Oh but I shouldn’t. Shoot, it’s the only day I’ll be able to do this, I’m doing it!  Click, put in cc info, purchase!  Big smile.Smile  My FH just shakes his head and hands over the money.  I loooove him!  He he he.  Yet, I feel a little naughty too for spending.  I’m sucking up all the wedding shows, recording four weddings, SYTTD, Bridezilla, etc. and watching them while eating my favorite healthy snacks. Cause why?  This is the only time I can get away with it without seeming like an obsessed nutball!  So for these last few weeks I am living the dream Ha Ha

Totally understand…my account looks pitiful!  Plus we bought a house (waiting on closing) a few weeks ago so we had to pay the appraisal and earnest fees around the same time we paid off our honeymoon reservations and plane tickets.

I’m just now starting to get super stressed out.  We don’t have much left to do, but it’s crunch time and FI is still in “relax, everything is fine” mode.

My entire paycheck just went to paying off our DOC and DJ. Ugh. Final payments suck.

I have minor panics when I make huge payments, but I also secretly love it.  I save for a reason!  Writing a huge check and driving off in a new car… love it!

@SoonToBeMrsD921:  Well, to be honest it’s only been healthy if you include organic apples and pears from our fruit trees which FI uses to bake pies! Ugh, that is not calorie conscious at all.  Ooh!  I need to buy lingerie.  How many outfits did you buy?  I’m going to VS.
