Yesterday I went back to Barre and realized how crazy large my stomach seems (due to the mirrors everywhere. As this is my third weight loss journey its not the first time I’ve noticed it but it just hit me again.
I am currently in the 160s and while the overall big tummy affect has dissapated, the fat is sort of left in the middle lol. Hopefully as I get closer to the 150s this will not be the case as much. I noticed though after my brother told me that I don’t engage my core enough and thats my biggest reason for my problem. I tend to just hold my stress in my shoulders when I should be constantly engaging my core! I will try to get back to swimming soon as that seems to make me super aware of the problem.
So how about you bees? What changes have you noticed in your body as you are going through your weight loss journey?

I am so excited about this thread because I am beginning my first weight loss journey. I have noticed a GAIN in my belly hips and thighs.. so now I look quite pear shaped. I am excited to see where other bees have lost it..

In the past when I’d gain weight the first place I’d see it would be my stomach and breasts, but I’m very much in proportion, shape wise, so I’m sure I gained all over just noticed those specific areas first- probably because my jeans were struggling to fit and my boobs were popping out of bras.

I lose weight first in my boobs then in those little back folds that are oh so flattering when flabby. I notice a general tightening of the skin around my belly but it is the adsolute last place I lose weight which is very disappointing and frustrating. It doesn’t help that I am very high waisted to point of not having a waist (I never had much definition showing a waist even when I only weighed 100 pounds.)

I wish I noticed it first in my stomach or thighs, both big problem areas for me. However, twenty or so pounds lighter than where I used to be, I only see it in weird places. First my fingers, my engagement ring is sliding all over the place now due to the drop. My arms and back of my legs. Both have much more muscle and less fat than before. I still feel like my tummy is large (although FH insists it’s gotten smaller). ANfd I guess it has since certain shirts don’t fit me anymore but I still don’t “see” it.

My stomach is smaller and I lost my butt. Use to be a size 13 in pants, now I am a size 7

I gain all over, but since I’ve lost around 22 pounds I see it more in my face than anything else. A little bit in my sides (my muffin top is shrinking!) I’m 5’11 though so its going to take another 10-20 to get my body back to thin again.

It seems like whenever I gain or lose weight it’s in my stomach. I’m hourglass shaped, so my boobs and thighs/butt always seem the same, even when I’ve lost weight in the past.

i’ve been gymin in for about 4 months now and when i get on the scale i am still the same weight i have really noticed in photos like before and after that i look like ive slimmed down abit. i can really tell my back flab has decreased lol and my legs and bum seem more toned and i think the sides of my tummy is more toned but the middle flab on my belly is still there but ie heard its the hardest place to loose weight anyway so im just going to keep at it and hopefully i will se more results in a few months.
but i was wondering why when i weigh myself that the scales havent changed any ideas ?

Mhm, started to lose weight around my arms, neck boobs and last tummy and my back/whole backside as the last.

Boobs!! The first place I lose weight. No fair. I’m now starting to notice a difference in my hips. One of the larger areas for me.

I noticed it in my chest…not necessary my breasts, but I can see a bit of my collar bones now. I’ve also noticed it in my ankles. I’m losing my cankles, which makes me very happy.

I’ve lost almost 10 lbs in the past month or so. I’ve notice it in the way my clothes fit (mostly thighs and waist) but also I have noticed a decreased amount of cellulite on my thighs (yippee) and in my fingers and lower arms (so bizarre).

My boobs the most 🙁 lol but definitely in my tummy and thighs as well, and the love handles. I think it’s a great idea to measure yourself so that even if you can’t see it yourself, you can see by the measurements that you have lost. Just make sure you do it exactly the same everytime, and don’t rely on it too much because you have to account for muscle gain as well!
