I am!!!! Woo hoo! Go us for thinking ahead. We are gonna be super prepared lol
Hmmm, well I got the date and venue. I booked early cause I thought the date would be really popular, but that lady made me feel kinda silly about booking so early!
haha oh well!
I still deciding on when to ask my bridal party, when are you asking yours? or have you already?
We set the date not long after we got engaged, We put the deposit down on the photographer. My mom and I went dress browsing and we went into this one shop that was about to close for the day and when the lady was asking me about the wedding, she asked when it was so I told her and she told me it was too soon to be looking for a dress, needless to say I will not be going back there, she was very rude! Don't worry about people saying you're doing something too early.
I have picked my MOH (my cousin), and one of my bridesmaids. I don't really have many close girlfriends so I am waiting until early next year I think.
I want to get as much done this year as possible so I can be more relaxed next year!
Are you worried about changing your mind about stuff after you do it? I totally am scared of that!!
Oh definitely! I have slowly started getting some decorations for the reception and I am hoping I won't change my mind!
WE'RE GETTING MARRIED FRIDAY 11/11/2011. THE HALL IS BOOKED, THE PHOTOGRAPHER BOOKED, THE REGISTRY DONE.... TOO EARLY IS NEVER A BAD THING. I KEEP TELLING PEOPLE THAT IM JUST ORGANIZED, AND IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT AND DONT WANT TO BUDGE ON SOMETHINGS-BETTER OFF STARTING EARLY...

I am 11-19-11 we payed for the flowers. they are real touch so they always look new! We picked out the bridesmaids and groomsmen and so far thats it. We are unsure between two halls. We plan by this fall to book the hall. I am doing black and white with red roses, I have always had a picture of what I wanted for my wedding so I am sure of all the things I have picked out. I also got a damask table runners and card box. My ring pillow, flower basket and guestbook.... I love that I started early...
11-11-11 here! I keep getting told its too early to plan, but I am in grad school right now so I NEED extra time, and who doesnt love feeling slightly less stressed?
I tried talking to the venue, but they said it was too early to book, and they might be renovating by then. DARN >_<
Oh well, at least I have plenty of time to look for something else...

We have been told a lot that its too soon to plan, but whatever! I don't want to be stressed and rushing to plan at the last minute!
We got engaged in Feb 2010, a month later decided on the date and then booked the venue we want. Luckily the country club we selected has beautiful locations onsite for outdoor ceremonies and then they have a nice sized ballroom for the reception. We selected the package they offered which comes with DJ of our choice, the floral arrangements, 2 photographers, nicely plated dinner, open bar, linens, pretty much it all... besides invitations etc...
So far we booked the DJ we wanted. All of the other planning we will start to begin doing about a year or less in advance. SOOOO EXCITING!!
Oh and I picked out my dress and ordered it 2 days ago.. they said I should get it in 4-6 months..so I will have it at about a year to the wedding.. I hope I didn't get it too soon! I have an idea of the bridesmaid dresses, my shoes and the colors of our wedding: green, orange and ivory.

Oh, and update, we have decided on and paid the deposit for a new venue! We are doing an Old Havana theme at the Cuba Libre/Latin Quarter in the Tropicana, Atlantic City
I feel like a crazy planner! We went today and picked our cake out! I think people think I'm crazy for planning sooo early but I know what I want so why not?!!

My FI thinks it is too early to start planning, but we had a wonderful day discussing color schemes. We are thinking black and white with red accents.
We have the venue booked (they already had every saturday in october 2011 booked!) and we have a DJ. I have a meeting with a photographer in August.
Went dress shopping and no one said anything about how it was too early to buy a dress! They were just making sure we had enough time to order the dress and make any alterations! I think it is too soon to buy a dress, for me... but I'm sure it is fine for you ladies! I just looked though, and put 8 dresses on my wishlist!!!
I'm totally obsessing though... my FI is a bit worried :)

Another 11.11.11 bride-to-be...we're not "officially" engaged, but have begun the planning process. We're both busy attorneys, but the debt from school has us pinching pennies, so we're planning to have the best for our buck (which means research)....and, I LOVE PLANNING!!
Aside from choosing our date, we've planned the: where (narrowed down venues and will visit this month); our colors/theme/motif; we're figuring out the guest list size; our party, etc...
He's supportive and we want to do it "right" (for us)...so, if you're ready- GET STARTED!!
