They are both beautiful dresses with amazing details! It seems like you want something less fancy than the Maggie dress to go more with the outdoor casual theme…but I think that the Nordstrom dress still looks fancy because of the gold and silver details.  They are really both beautiful and it all depends on how you envision yourself – I think either dress would be lovely. I would think about it for a week or so and see how you still feel then – don’t make any impulse buys until you’re completely sure!

However, truthfully, no one is going to look at you and your dress on your wedding day and judge you for not making your dress completely match the feel of the wedding – they’ll be too focused on how beautiful you look!

Good luck!

No problem! It’s a big decision to choose just one dress but just remember that you chose your first dress for a reason. I know that if I start trying on other dresses I might to cheat on my first one…so I’m really trying to not look at other dresses. Ha it’s like being in a relationship.

Where the dress you love and wear it like you love it. Anyone who thinks critical things about your dress not matching the style of the venue has been watching too much Bridezillas.

I think it’s so easy to keep looking at all of the beautiful gowns even after you’ve found yours.  I’ve thought more than once that my dress is too formal for our 4pm, outdoor ceremony, but I still love my dress.  At the end of the day, if you love the dress, and feel beautiful in it, screw anyone who thinks anything negative about it!

I love the maggie dress. When I googled it, I just said "awwww" out loud! It’s gorgeous, and I’m a firm believer that the bride can never be too fancified at her own wedding!

Mine is 09/25/10 and it’s outdoors at Welkinweir (Pottstown, PA) which is a historical house/arboretum  I think my dress may be a tich formal http://www.bridalwave.tv/Alfred%20Angelo%201185.jpg but I love it anyway! I’m picking up my dress from the bridal store next Sunday so I’m super pumped!

Chree…I love your dress too! I think the bride can do whatever she wants…formal at an informal wedding, informal at a formal wedding…it’s up to her!

I’m actually already married

Gloria was my dress! Can I tell you, I loved it and got so many compliments on how beautiful it was. My wedding was outdoors, though I don’t know if I would describe it as casual, and I think it fit in fine. Besides, it’s your wedding, be as fancy as you want!

You should wear whatever dress makes you happy and makes you feel the most comfortable. But, try the first dress on again, and then decide. And don’t decide based on what will fit in – you are the bride, wear what you want!
