Ok so I have purchased the Maggie Sottero Adorea gown from Kleinfeld in NYC back in May. I have not seen this dress before and fell in love with it instantly!! Now I am literally seeing this dress everywhere and even saw someone in my distant family where it for her wedding and now I am stuck! I still love the dress but now have second thoughts and thinking about changing it!! I have tried on many other dresses and didnt fall for any of them except one!
The Kendra from Maggie Sottero!
I love that one as well but still not as much as the Adorae. However it could be my second choice if I decide to exchange gowns. And if I do I would have to call Kleinfeld and set up a cancellation and even see if I could even be approved for an exchange. I am just worried that if I go through with it I may regret it and become very sad because I am still in love with the Adorae. Its hard to give up your first love! That is why I can not give up my fiance! lol
Now I do not have pictures of myself in these gowns but I am very curvy and my figure is only flattered by mermaid or dropped waist dresses like the adorae and kendra. I also came up with an idea that I could just alter the adorae somewhat to make it look a bit different than the rest. Maybe just the skirt area. I do love the skirt on the kendra except would also need to add a sash or something bc it looks very plain in the front.
But I am having a really hard time deciding!!! I need to decide fast because I may not be able to exchange once my gown is in production which is what kleinfeld told me!!
Please let me know your opinions!!!

I would keep your original dress… there is a reason you fell in love with it! 🙂

Keep your dress. No one knows the designer names or style names or even the style of dress except other brides!
On your wedding day, there is no one to compare you to – wear what you love and what makes you feel beautiful!

I would stick with the original, too!

keep your original. Especially if Kendra is the other – Kendra is very popular as well. I know 3 people who wore it this year.
No one will notice. Dresses look different on every bride.

I can completely empathize! After having a hard time finding what I wanted a coworker told me about the store she had found hers at and I ended up accidently trying on her dress and falling in love with it. Ultimately, I didn’t buy it, but it was more because of the price and I was able to find an almost identical dress that I ended up liking better for half the price. Knowing that someone else in my world had worn the same dress was a factor for me though as well. However, if you are in love with Adorae get it. You will make the dress look different than others who have worn it so wear what you feel the best in!

Thank you guys!! I am leaning towards keeping the adorae as well!! My mom and maid of honor tell me to keep the dress also and looks great on me.
I have given other dresses a chance and my heart is with the adorae still but a part of me still wants to be different and wear something people have not seen. Which is almost impossible these days! lol
But yes I guess going with your instinct is usually the best! I just may alter it a bit in some way which may relieve me in some way.

I’m a curvy bride wearing Adorae so I’m biased. There’s another thread on here about brides struggling with wearing Adorae when it’s so popular… lemme see if I can dig it up:
What is it about the Adorae?

Just take a lot at this recap. This bride looks beyond fantastic in the Adorae. I tried it on and loved it.. It is so flattering and forgiving. I went with a different gown but I suggest you keep it. It is popular for a reason.
