Hmmmm I would definitely say perhaps you can get married on a beach or something like that, but I think she'll need special permission to attend the wedding. Have you tried to call probation officers in the area to see what they say about things of this sort? Good luck to you! And even if she isn't allowed to attend, perhaps you could do a video feed for her and allow her to watch...
I agree with Diva on checking for additional details on her being able to attend your wedding. I am not familiar with your market; however for 30 people you can have a nice wedding for $3k. Check with your local parks for an outdoor wedding (have a rain plan) and most parks have a hall that you can have the reception. Restaurants can easily handle your guests in a small banquet room.

I have been engaged for quite awhile now but have refused to get married without my sister by my side. She has been in federal prison for a little over three years and will be in a halfway house November 2010. I was hoping to finally set my date, but not knowing if she can attend my wedding in a halfway house and if she'll even be in the halfway house for the full 6 months is causing me more problems. I have been engaged, like I said, for years and am so eager to make it official. I know what dress I desperately want, but have yet to actually go buy it because of the unknown date. Since getting engaged I have gained considerable weight but I bought an exercise bike and am ready to get things rolling! I had to put off finishing college to help take care of my sisters two boys and so my fiancee and I do not have a lot of money. We want an intimate (30 or so) person wedding. We are now looking to marry hopefully in March 2011. We literally cannot spend more than $3000 on the entire wedding/honey moon. Any ideas? We want our colors to be black and green or tan and green. Planning on doing lots of DIY! I need help finding caterers and a great reception site. We are also doing a nondenominational wedding since we are jewish and christian. I was thinking St. Mary's Chapel for the ceremony. So if you have any ideas or heck, if you know anything about Charlotte Halfway houses, let me know!
