Problem with DB is they sell things in store you CANT get online, and stuff you can is usually (not always) pretty basic. I would look on ebay, or seach the forum for “ebay dress sellers” or “china replicas” to get reviews on knock offs. Only problem is you really have to look carfefully at the reviews to see if the seller does detailed and embelishments well. The thing about ebay, is you have time before the wedding so that if you order early and it doesnt work out you have some protective measures to get your money back if it doesnt work out. I would recommend custom sizing (but you cant return if it is exactly what you ordered but you dont like it) and have a tie up back in case either its a little off, or you change sizes since it will be sized to what you are now.

just my 2 cents. I havent done it but was looking really hard into it.

@Gingersnap: found some DB pics for you! i am a DB bride myself- I am having some work done to the dress- I am adding a sash/3D flowers that I found on Etsy and changing the neckline. Remember you can always add or take away from your dress! I also started looking on preownedweddingdresses.com and recycledbride.com for mine- you may try that too! i uploaded the pics so you can look them up by style on DB website- i tried to stay in your price range as well! good luck!

If you know the style # and size that you need, I would contact netbride.com for a quote.  I was able to get my bridesmaid’s dresses for 30% less than in regular stores.
