Hello fellow Bees!
I’m new to this board & recently got engaged about 3 weeks ago. Surprisingly, I have already found *THE* dress & it should be coming sometime in December. Our wedding is set for April 24, 2010 but I’m wanting to do as much planning as I can so I can (hopefully) just sit back and relax the rest of the way. Of course, it’s only natural that things will come up, but at least I’ll have some time to fix it before the big day.
Here is the dress, & I’m having trouble accessorizing it. It’s an Oleg Cassini with a cathedral train. I’ve also got a tiara that I’ll be wearing, but don’t want to overdo the accessories since I’ll have the veil (with blusher) & the tiara. I’m a natural redhead with fair skin & I haven’t quite figured out how I’ll be wearing my hair.

Your link to the dress photo didn’t work. Can you try posting it again?

Great Dress! I think that with this… Less is more. There is already so much activity with your gown something small and delicate would be perfect…for earrings and necklace and perhaps a small bracelet.

I agree, small and delicate would be best. But you need to balance it so that the jewelry doesnt seem understated compared the the dress. So I’d go with all 3 – earrings, necklace and bracelet. And a lotta sparkle on them.

Thanks, ladies! Since I’ll be wearing a cathedral veil (w/ blusher) and tiara, I was afraid to overdo it. I still haven’t decided about hair..LOL. I guess that’ll play a major role as well.

You want people to see you, not your accessories and dress.
If it were me, I would forego at least one item. Pick the tiara and bracelet, or just the earrings. Personally, I wouldn’t wear a necklace with such a adorned dress. But that’s just me. I do however think bracelet, earrings, necklace, tiara and long veil…just a bit much. At that point you’re letting your possessions and accessories lead the way, rather than your own inherent beauty.
