hey pretty bees,
I have fallen for a Mori Lee 4202 dress, got really pretty lace trimming on the edges. What’s the problem? I’m only 4’11” and the dress only comes in 3 lengths… 55″ the shortest. So, the lace trimming is in trouble. 🙁 Should i even bother, or should i move on?

@mitchiedoll: I’d talk to a seamstress about whether or not they could shorten the dress further. If they can’t, then I think your only other option would be really high heels.
It’s a beautiful dress, I hope you can find a way to make it work!

@StarryNight2011: thank you. i’m planning on going to a store and try it on but i’m too scared to get disappointed. hmmm.. but oh, well.

@mitchiedoll: Most dresses come in 58-60, even, so it’s great Mori Lee offers 55! So I would think either way, you’d have to see if it could be hemmed or taken in to be shorter. I’m 5 foot 2, so I feel your pain.

Ooh, this one is a toughie. Normally some dresses will have some kind of seam in the middle of the dress so that they can lift the skirt, but because of the detail at the bottom of this skirt, I’m not so sure if it’s doable. Definitely get in contact with a seamstress and get an opinion! How about some killer heels to solve the problem? 😛

@mitchiedoll: I sent you a private message. I have this gown that is already hemmed and bustled for 5’3 with flats. It has not been worn.

You’re definitely going have to go to the store to see what they could do. Most of the time they are able to hem a dress but with the beading on the bottom and no waist seam that’s a toughie.

@pengoala: i’m just scared to order a replica online. LOL on the heels! hahah, i would if i could, but since i’m a size 5 (shoes), there’ll be nothing to support high heels! thanks, though.
