@FutureMrsNogueras: I have hypothyroid issues and when it wasn't treated it caused a lot of problems for me, specifically in the fact that it contributed to my body not producing enough progesterone to sustain a pregnancy. I had 2 MCs because of this. The good news is now that they know about it it can be fairly easy to fix once they put you on medication. I also have PCOS and have found in my research that PCOS and thyroid problems are definitely linked. Hopefully your doctor, now that they know, will be able to move forward with better treatment for you!
@FutureMrsNogueras: I don't know much about thyroid conditions. So i'm curious.. what were your symptoms? What caused you to have to get blood work? (I'm sorry to be nosey..I'm just curious). Good Luck to you!! I hope that everything works out for you!!
They drew blood because I was starting clomid. I didnt know I had any symptoms of it thrill they told me that the reason for this this and this was because of my thyroid. I had some serious weight gain that I pushed off on my pcos but come to find out my thyroid contributors to that also. Other than that I was pretty much syemptom free.
Taking thyroid medication is an easy fix and apparently hypothyroid is a huge cause of infertility. Fingers crossed once you get this sorted you'll get pregnant quickly!

Well to start off I have been at my obgyns office 10 times in the past 2 weeks. They knOw me by first name when I walk in. I was diagnosed with pcos about a year ago. So my new doctor wanted to do some more blood work well blood work kept coming back abnormal. Eventually they found outyesterday that there is something wrong with mythyroid. It doesn't produce enough of something. Which explains my weight that I can't loose know matter what I do and also the reason we still haven't gotten pregnant. I have been reading on the internet and this can lead bad things for the baby in the womb. Ive also read that it causes misscarages? I know the interet is a little extravagent on somethings but its hard not to believe it. Does any one else have an underactive thyroid?
