our budget for cake, venue, food, music, and everything else, except for the honeymoon is 10K. I would love however, to spend 7 or 8K no more than that. The problem is that everything is so expenssive in Southern CA!! we will have about 150 guests, and we are working on lowering the number to 100.
Does anyone know of affordable venues, caterers in SoCal?
I have looked at golf courses in Diamond Bar and Fairplex in Pomona, also at this catering company called “Bashful Butler.” this last one seems more afforfable than the other two. We prefer an indoor venue.
Any Suggestions are deeply appreciated, If you happen to know the prices of some places and want to share it’ll be great!
Thank you in advance

Well, are you looking closer to Orange County/LA area? I’m doing mine at a military clubhouse here in San Diego! Neither of us is military, but we got a friend of mine who is active reserves to sponsor us. The prices are pretty great, and NO TAX! I’m doing a grand wedding package at the Admiral Kidd. Mine is kind of expensive, but it includes a ridiculous amount of stuff! It’s 58/person but includes a plated dinner, 6 hot tray passed appetizers, an appetizer station (crackers, cheese, veggies, dips, etc), all you can drink wine for the first hour, a full keg of premium beer, a glass of wine per person with dinner, the champagne and sparkling cider for the toast, unlimited soda and bottled water, coffee service with dinner, cake cutting fee, room set up and break down, and one of the bartenders for the whole time. I think there is more, but I can’t remember right now 🙂

I’m doing mine in Temecula. The winery is I think $150 per person on a Friday or Saturday and like $100 on a Sunday. It does depend on which meal you choose but the winery includes a ton of stuff, coordnator, dinner, cocktail hour….actually it’s easier to mention what isn’t included. Minister, cake, photographer, videographer, extra wine/alcohol beyond the two bottles per table and any extra decor you might like. They don’t allow sparklers or bird seed or aisle runners flowers on the side are cool though. For our 40-50 person weddingsits going to be about 5-6 grand maybe a bit high but Temecula had a couple venues like that. Mines called Wiens Family Cellar.
