I had my makeup trial a few days ago, I enjoyed working with the artist and it looked flawless all day, but my nose did get shiny and when I blotted with a napkin the makeup came off on the napkin. I tested my other t-zone areas (chin andforehead) and it came off in those places as well. This was after four hours, I was under the impression that it was supposed to last all day.
I have a second trial coming upwraith the same artist, what can she do to fix this?

Did you try blotting with special blotting papers? Those are supposed to remove oil without disturbing makeup (not sure if they work with airbrush makeup, but it might be worth a try).

Sounds like you need powder or primer.

stop wiping your face with a napkin DUH! lol j/k I would try blotting papers like the previous pp said. Or I would pick a different person/place to do my makeup.

I like to finsh off my makeup with a setting spray. There are several brands out there-Kat Von D and Urban Decay both make them.

@ThingsThatShine: Thanks the napkin didn’t disturb the makeup but I was under the impression that airbrushing would last for 12 hours and it does cost more.

I am getting airbrush for my wedding day, but then my MUA is going to set the airbrush with powder. The main reason she’s doing that is b/c I didn’t like the shinier “dewy” look that airbrush creates. I want something more matte. Perhaps you could have your MUA do the same thing? I had no problems with my makeup lasting at least 12 hours after my trial.

Did your MUA use a setting spray or powder? Urban Decay De-Slick is a great setting spray. Use it under AND over your make-up to stay shine-free.
