I just started to panic today that when I walk down the aisle, my aisle runner is going to get all bunched up and I'm going to trip. How do I keep it flat on the ground (our church has carpet)???

What about good old duct tape at the top and bottom of the aisle? (hidden on the underside, of course!)

We usually use duct tape on carpet to tape down wires and it stays put really nicely.

We just placed votives on ours at the head and end of the aisle, and it did not, let me repeat, did not work :)  Should have busted out the duct tape!

Haha, thanks for the heads up on the votives...I can see how that may be a problem!!!! I will definitely not leave for the church without the duct tape!

We didn't put anything on ours and it was fine. You might not need it.

I'm worried about that, too.  Our church has stone tile floors, so there's no way our aisle runner will stay put. : P  Thanks for the tip, Pengy!

If the end of the runner will be resting on carpet, you could have someone pin it down after it's rolled out...that what my coordinator did :)

Yes, straight pins work in the carpet at an angle.  If you wanted a decorative look, you could use pearl headed, otherwise, basic straight pins.  The other option is one of those carpet grippers that they sell--kind of like that rubbery shelf liner that's mesh. I'd try it at the church before I panicked.
