NY Mag has a great wedding vendor section that includes tailors and seamstresses. You might wind up paying a lot for it but it'd be worth it!

my friend had her dress altered by the in-house seamstress at the bridal garden, who also does freelance tailoring for anyone. if you called I'm sure they'd give you her contact info. not sure what her turnaround time is but for my friend she took apart a size 12 ballgown and remade it to a size 2 for only like $200...and put in a really complicated bustle (I know, because I was her MOH and had like 20 bows to tie!).

I am a bride that is wearing a bridesmald dress.
Just picked it up today. Leaving for my wedding in 5 days.
I have lost a significant amoung of weight from the time that I purchased it and the dress had to be taken in about two sizes...which they did. The problem is that it doesn't look quite right and I need a bustle, because I am tripping over my train.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a great tailor that can do an emergency alteration in New York City? Freaking out a bit.
Thanks!
