Hello Lady Bee’s!
My FH and I are getting married in a church with the ceremony commencing at 12:30pm. It should be over by 1:30pm. In the past, our family traditions typically entail a receiving line after the ceremony/immediate family photos. However, we need to rush to where our wedding photos will be taken as we only have the permit from 2pm – 4pm. Our reception is at a different location commencing at 6pm. We know the timing isn’t ideal, but that’s how it worked out with the locations of my church and where the reception venue is.
If anyone has any advice on “Grand Exit” logistics from the ceremony, I’d truly appreciate it! I.e. – is it ok that we have a “Grand Exit” from ceremony, without a formal receiving line; drive to location to take our photos; then have immediate family arrive at reception perhaps around 5:30pm for wedding pics with parents/siblings/some aunts/uncles; and just have our receiving line at the reception at 6pm when guests arrive?
Thanks so much, I appreciate it!
