Above are pictures of the bridesmaids dresses and a bouquet I am considering for me. Also I tired to post pics of the reception site above too, not sure if they showed up.
That's lovely..although I don't believe that's actually purple. I pictured somthing much darker. This is more like a lavender. It's your day and I don't think you can go wrong with your colors..as long as they are consistant.
I'm doing plum dresses with white and green flowers for the bridesmaids. I will have a bouquet with green, white, and dark purple. My florist said there wasn't a lot of natural dark plum flowers but we are doing carnations...and some others I don't remember the names of! Definitley narrow down what shade/s you want. I do know that there is a dark plum/eggplant calla lilly that is darker than your picture. Our centerpiecs are mostly candles with plum ribbon and apples in a tall cylindar vase (sorry no pics yet!). Favors are going to be rock candy - the plain white kind but bring the colors in with some sort of tag and ribbon attached to it.
Those are my colors as well and those are some pictures that I have come across with that color combo. Good luck!
My girls wore a green as well (not like yours though) and we did accents of purple everywhere. (the girls wore dark purple flowers in their hair...you can kind of see in one picture)
I went to a wedding back in November in Santa Barbara, where the colors were green and dark purple. I wasn't able to get many pictures, but I do have one of the centerpieces (below).

The colors looked GORGEOUS! I really think it's a great color combo! They also placed a green orchid on top of their napkins:

good luck!
my colors are purple and green! A little brighter than yours, but I think for an April wedding you could definitely go brighter. Here's my inspiration board, hope it is of some help to you. Good luck!

Hello Bee's,
I could use some help with creating my wedding vision. My bridesmaid's are wearing a tea length taffata dress in celadon, which is slightly darker than sage. I want to use purple somewhere too, maybe the bouquet? but I am not good at visualizing. Does anyone have a pictures from their wedding with these colors that they could share with me? I originally wanted plum purple bridesmaids dresses, but thought that the celadon went better with the reception decor. The reception venue is a historic country club with a ball room, dark wood floor and beams on the ceiling, so I thought the plum could be too dark in there. Also the ball room has ugly floral curtains (think your grandma's house) but the price was right so I tried to ignore that. I figured the celadon green was lighter and complimented the curtains more.
My wedding is in April 2011 so I need to get the ball rolling. Just at a loss for ideas for BM's flowers and my flowers. I am debating myself between carrying a white bouquet with some subtle greenery or carrying a calla lilly purple bouquet that I found a picture of. Besides the bridesmaids dresses I haven't planned anything else. Need ideas for centerpieces, flowers, favors!!
Please share any pictures or budget friendly ideas! Thank you!
