We’re writing our own ceremony, and while researching I’ve seen it both ways – with the vows and ring exchange combined and with separate vows and ring exchange. I like the idea of have them separated, as I’ve found wording for both that I really like…
VOWS: “I, _____, take you, _____, to be no one other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, trusting what I do not yet know. I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us.”
RINGS: “_____, just as this circle is without end, my love for you is eternal. Just as it is made of indestructible substance, my commitment to you will never fail. With this ring I take you to be my trusted confidante and partner for life.”
The wine ceremony/blending would come in between the two. Is it weird/dumb to do both? Should I combine them? I need your opinions!
