I think you look better with the bolero.. classier. I had a similar bolero btw and while I was supposed to use it only for the church ceremony, I ended up using it for most of the day since I felt more confortable with it. At the end of the day, you should wear what makes YOU feel better/prettier/confindent, not what other people say. You’ll look wonderful no matter what!

would you believe, im 8 months til my wedding and already asking the same question! (pics of my dress on another post – we should swap ideas lol) For you I definitely think without the bolero! I agree with jules about going with what makes you feel happiest, at the end of the day its YOUR big day! not your mums or your seamstress’! But personally i think its classier without, more couture and modelesque!

Good luck on your big day 🙂

I have that exact same bolero and I feel comfortable wearing it but honestly it does nothing to shape my upper body.  Seeing your figure is pretty darn close to mine, I see the same difference in your two pics.

I personally think it looks great on you without the bolero, the bolero would be great for after the ceremony and pictures.

Just my honest opinion from my personal experience.

I am adding straps to my dress from the beading on the train that I am taking off, another reason I am not wearing my bolero, it will hide my pretty straps.

I would skip the bolero. I think you look beautiful without it and that adding it draws attention to the fact that you have something you want to cover up. Go without and be confident in how wonderful you look.

The only thing I noticed is that you happen to look happier in the photos without it. It could be a coincidence, though

I LOVE this dress on you! I have to say I vote for NO bolero. You look stunning without it. BUT…if you say you feel more comfortable with it, my advice would be to try it with the sleeves a bit shorter. I think it would be more flattering if they were just above your elbows.

I love your dress! Honestly, I think that you look better without the bolero, its more slimming without it!

But I also completely understand the need for you to feel comfortable, and Even though every one of us could tell you that we love it without the bolero, that most likely will not change how you feel!  I think the bolero is very nice as well, and go with what makes you feel beautiful

@sweetpeony:  Well, since you are concerned about feeling comfortable, why don’t you start off planning to not wear it but having it there so at any minute you can change your mind or so you can put it on later in the evening if you want. You can take some pictures with and without too so you have no regrets. As I said before, though, I think you look beautiful without it, but you don’t want to be anxious on your wedding day about something you can easily deal with by putting on the bolero.

I think you look great both ways, but I think the bolero may look better with slightly shorter sleeves.  Either way though, you can’t go wrong.
