(Closed) Help! Can anyone recommend a church for a Good Friday ceremony?

You are probably going to have a really tough time finding a church that will let you hold a wedding on Good Friday. Easter is the biggest holiday in the church calendar, and most churches have a LOT going on that weekend. I’m not sure what denomination you are … I’m pretty sure that in the Catholic church Good Friday is entirely off-limits for weddings. It’s kind of incongruous, actually, to schedule a big celebration for the day that marks the Crucifixion. Are you 100% set on keeping that date? If you are willing to go a week later, the Friday of the Easter Octave is more appropriate from a church standpoint (and it will be easier to schedule, since there won’t be quite so much pressure on the church with all the Easter celebrations).

@lindaainguyen:   I don’t know what your price range is but I think the Frisco Heritage Center’s Chapel would probably be available and the chapel comes with a little house right next door that is used as a bridal suite – it is beautiful!! I think the rate is $1,250 for 3 hours 🙂
