@wbninja: what kind of food does he like?
My best friend is in Indonesia for the Peace Corps and I know for a fact that they do not have peanut butter there. So, I am sending her a tub of peanut butter. It's one of her favorite foods.
I always think to send things that they cannot get there. A letter of course, but maybe some non perishable items.
Or a picture frame with a picture of you two. Something that has a lot of meaning, mixed CD with songs that have some importance between you two
@Gabrielle123: thanks so much for the ideas! He has a massive sweet tooth (unfortunately, alot of sweets wouldn't travel into that heat so well!) but I'm trying to think of some local things that won't be available there. I'll have to do some research...

Bees, I need some help!
My husband left 2 weeks ago for a year-long deployment to Egypt. This is our first (and hopefully only!) deployment so we are learning as we go.
I just got his address for Egypt. They are currently still in the states but are going to be shipping out at any time. I want to have a care package sent soon so it can hopefully be waiting for him when he arrives.
Any ideas for what to put in? I've got some letters I have been writing, and I plan to get him some goodies from Trader Joes, but what other items would you put in to remind your SO of home?
