We met with our travel agent for literally hours last night and after being all over the world, we finally narrowed down to 3 choices. We appreciate any feedback you have positive or negative for any of the 3!
ANGUILLA (Cuisinart or Cap Jaluca)
ST. LUCIA (Sandals?)
HAWAII (not sure which islands yet…)
Was your honeymoon at any of these? If so, what did you think?

FI and I are currently so stuck on honeymoon locale as well! ahh One of our choices is St. Lucia as well, it really comes down to cost for us unfortunately.
I will say I have heard from 2 recently married friends that Hawaii is absolutely amazing!

When are you going? You’ll want to avoid the rainy season in St. Lucia. I have never been to Hawaii, but everyone suggests it. I’ve heard it is amazing- more so than the Caribbean. If you have the time and money to go to Hawaii, do it.

I don’t know anything about the other two, but I loved Sandals in St. Lucia when I was there 5 years ago.

if you are going in september remember that is still hurricane season for st. lucia and anguilla – just make sure you get trip insurance if you choose one of those 🙂
anguilla – upscale and small. Not a ton to do on the island (tours, hiking, daytrips etc) but I have only heard good things. I have a freind who goes almost every year.
st. lucia – more similar to hawaii as far as what the island has to offer (much more tours, daytrips etc), but slightly more affordable thatn hawaii/anguilla. Can be upscale if wanted though.
hawaii – A little more expensive than st. lucia, but probably not compared to anguilla… Again more tours, daytrips etc. It depends on which island you choose though as some of the smaller ones are a little bit different… There is a lot of upscale and basic – not as much inbetween as you will find in st. lucia…
it really depends on what you want to do on your honeymoon. Lots of activity – don’t choose anguilla. As far as choosing between hawaii and st. lucia – I would say look at specific resorts and island. Find a few you like in both places and compare. If you want less activity/tours in luxury private location – choose anguilla.

I’ve been to Maui twice in November and it was amazing! Of course I’ve never been to the carribean so I can’t compare the others.
I stayed on Kaanapali beach both times and there is so much to do right there. Snorkeling, cocktail and dinner cruises, etc… Maui does suck the funds right out of you though so if it’s in your budget then go for it!

THANKS for all of the advice, bees!!!
We are traveling end of November (around Thanksgiving) bc its the only time we can take off from work. I am kinda torn bc I had originally wanted to go to Greece and my fiance would def prefer a more tropical place like hawaii. I know anguilla and hawaii arent the “sandals” types but if i were to go w a sandals i had heard decent things about St. Lucia.
Does anyone have any other recommendations? End of November, open to sugegstions including sandals locations. 8 nights, 9 days! (non stop air if that’s a possibility! I HATE to fly but i know with all three of the abovementioned, there is no direct flight!)
tnx for the advice…this is very helpful!

If you have only 8 nights and nine days, your choice might also depend on where you live. If I were on the west coast, I would pick Hawaii, but from the east coast, taht is a long flight that will suck up a lot of your honeymoon time. Just a thought. But if you do pick Hawaii, Maui is very romantic and has lots of activities.
