DH & I are finally getting around to some redecorating and renovations.   We're currently prepping to tear out our carpet & put hardwoods through-out, and tile in our kitchen area in our townhome.   Before we do that, we want to paint the walls, because they are BORING.

I have a phobia of making decisions, lol.   So, we've gone back & forth on paint colors several times.    We have a very open floorplan downstairs, so we're pretty sure we're going to do a warm neutral color, taupe or something.   But, DH wants to do an accent wall in the living area.   We can't agree on which wall though.   In the pic below, he thinks we should do an accent color on the wall around the fireplace and the wall around the door, so 2 walls actually.   I think it should only be one, the wall with the fireplace, or the wall behind the sofa.   What do you ladies think?

I just painted my basement Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter (color matched to Behr Premium at Home Depot) and its an awesome, modern WARM gray tone.

As far as accent walls, I would probably just do the fireplace wall personally

@phillipians48:  I love that Revere Pewter color!   Gonna see if I can talk DH into something similar to that.   Thanks!

behr.com has good paint selections.  you can choose  monochromatic schemes or whatever. i have my house painted in rejuvenate, southern breeze and chianiti and it flows great.  i  have light wood floors in the back and it is very soothing but also neutral.

Well, we finally chose a color & I'm THRILLED with it!   We used Valspar paint from Lowe's, and this is Taupe-4 from the Laura Ashley collection.   Very nice, warm neutral.
