Personally I would save some cash and go with the VS2.  Also try to go with the measurement and not the ct weight too.  Sorry, that’s all I know.  Good luck!

Are you only looking at Ds?  They carry a hefty premium when most of their stones are colorless.  While I don’t see it, some girls complain they are too white – almost like CZ.

I haven’t ordered one and defer to other gals on here for specifics… But a lot of info can be found on the betterthandiamond forums as well.

lilsweetie:  like Nova said, focus on what diameter you want in mm and not that of the carats. The 3 numbers quantify the diameter and depth of each AG. Eg 8.29-8.36mm is the diameter of the AG, the 8.29mm is the smallest diameter measured and 8.36mm the largest. The 5.09mm is the depth/height of the AG or “how tall it is” 2.2-2.3 ct diamonds vary from roughly 8.0-8.5mm In diameter, I think. what diameter are u hoping for?

lilsweetie:  The PP made a great point.  I have a G color AG and I’m thrilled with the color.  Not to white, but very little warmth.  It really lends itself to reality since I could afford a diamond with my current stats.

+1 I have an F and it doesnt show any color and isn’t icy white. It seems like Colors F/G give great bang for your buck while also being realistic in terms of affordility.

I actually bought a 2.1, D color, IF one very similar to the ones towards the bottom of your list. I think it’s gorgeous, but I haven’t compared it to any others.  I may have paid an unecessary premium but I still think it was a steal compared to the traditional diamond ring so I have no regrets.

Some pics in a Verragio setting. Sorry for the many big pics but wanted to give you an idea of what it looks like in different lighting since mine is basically the same as what you’re looking at!  I also have big fingers (size 10) so it will likely look bigger on your hand. 🙂   It doesn’t photograph nearly as well as it looks in person!

AquariusLove:   Thanks, I love yours too!

lilsweetie:  Thanks. 🙂  It’s definitely white.  I like the icy feel to it, but I haven’t seen the warmer tones in person so I don’t have much of a basis of comparison.  My side stones are all F diamonds (as well as my wedding band), and they look fine together.  I think (not 100% sure) that you can order several stones and return the ones you don’t like.  I think I’ve seen people on the BTD forums do that, so maybe you could see which color/size you like best.

Arae83:   how did you get yours since you cannot get them directly shipped? I wanted on but dont know the logistics of getting it to canada?

sway0060:   I ordered it using Postal PS (http://www.postalps.com/Concierge-Services.aspx) as the shipping address.  It’s a mail forwarding service on a reservation exempt from patent laws, and they specialize in forwarding the stones from BTD for $5.  Many people have used this on the BTD forums so I was comfortable with it.

However, right before it shipped, BTD emailed me and said they had some relaxation on patents and could ship directly to me if I wanted, so I did that.  I’m in the US though so I’m not sure about Canada, but I would assume it’s the same.

sway0060:  I got mine shipped directly to my work address and I live in canada. I ordered mine two months ago and it just took a few days to get to me. I didn’t even pay duty taxes. Just signed on the dotted line and it was mine. I got a 1.3 ct h colored stone and there is such little warmth you can barely see it. But I love warm stones.

lilsweetie:  I received my AG Ultra H&A cushion in mid-April.  The stats:  1.43 ct 6.57 mm x 6.54 mm x 4.58 mm.  G color and VS1 clarity.  I always wanted between a G or an H since my side stones in my ering or F/G.  However I think the stones in my wband or H/I.  Either way I just wanted it in the same range.
