Help! I suck at picking out gifts.
I need to choose gifts for my parents-in-law, my sister-in-law, and my husband – it’s a large family, so we just pick names out of a hat for not-so-secret-Santa.
The big ones are the in law gifts, because I know my husband will love anythhing that I get him.
For some reason I feel that things like jewelry and perfume are too personal. Gift cards are too impersonal. I’m looking to spend around $50.00, but under $100 is the real limit, if it’s an AWESOME gift.
My parents in law are very kind people, in their 50s. They are homeowners and live in the suburbs doing typical suburban things. My sister in law is about to have her first child and I really want to avoid giving her something baby-related, as we just had her shower and I am sure she would like something just for her! Or that is how I would feel, anyway.
So far for sister in law I’m thinking kitchen things – like these measuring cups or these adorable ones. Or on the higher end, what about this gift set. Last year she had me for picks and she got me a subscription to Bon Appetit and a cast iron pan that I love! So maybe I am just thinking along that line. I really want something great for her though.
I’m hopeless. What is your go-to store and/or site for great gifts for the adults in your life?
