i LOVE that color combination. i'm terrible at uploading on here but if you google image "red and teal wedding" a whole bunch of great photos and inspiration boards show up. red, teal and white look very crisp and clean. can't wait to see how everything comes out for you. i'm hoping my MOH takes my "suggestions" and uses this color combo for my bridal shower lol.
That was my color combination and I loved it from the moment I saw it, and it looked even cooler when my entire venue was decked out in aqua and red. :)
I also used white as a neutral color, but that also means you have to make sure your blue is a lighter blue, lest it start looking like Fourth of July colors! (That was our big fear!)
I'm loving the combination too, just don't want it to get too over the top matchy.
@krazy2wedding- What colors did your MOB and MOG wear?
we have red, aqua (more teal) and white as our colors. There is some black thrown in there (table cloths, a few details)too
White is my immediate reaction, it will be clean and easy to use (lots of white flowers to chose, white linens are easy to find, white plates, etc.)
I've since changed my color scheme, but I was going to do black, white, and light blue (in lieu of "aqua"), with "pops" of red. Here was my idea:

I say white. It gives such a clean look, plus typically white things are standard, therefore cheaper :)
These are my colours! I love them!
I don't have it all worked out yet, but to make it less matchy I'm hoping to use different intensities of aqua. And I'm going to use green as an accent colour. And I know green is not a neutral. However, my thinking is that since it will be present as stems and foliage in bouquets/flower arrangements and the fact that our ceremony will be in a garden (lots of green) I figure it doesn't stick out as much as red and aqua and will blend in more as background (while still giving some variety in colour).
And the nice thing about neutrals is - you don't have to limit yourself as much as you would with colours BECAUSE they're neutrals. People won't be like, 'oh, this tablecloth is white but this chair is black ... these don't go and their colour scheme is crazy and non-matching.'
My husband and I did teal and red and it was beautiful. The girls were in teal and had red flowers. I was in ivory with ivory roses. We did use a few touches of silver and white (well, ivory) and it was absolutely lovely!
@Jenniferceline- thanks for the board, I really like that. Originally I really wanted Black bridesmaid dresses, but was unsure how beachy it would be in the end. Love the inspiration though, I may start using it!
@bug in a rug- I was thinking green at one point too, as I love green flowers for some reason, but wasn't sure exactly how to put it in there. I've been afraid with how bright and bold the aqua/red is when it comes to including other colors. But I love the idea of mixing the intensities of aqua, I think that would help with the matchyness I'm worried about.
Thanks ladies :)
Quick question- with the teal/aqua and red weddings, what did your MOB's and MOG's wear?
I think a light to medium gray would be great with that color combination.
Those are my colors! We're using black and white with red and pops of aqua.
My MOB wore a navy blue chiffon and my MOG wore a red chiffon and charmeuse dress. They didn't look super matchy with the wedding colors, but it all coordinated well.
For my MOB and MOG, I didn't force them to coordinate so they ended up choosing their own dresses in black and brown. If anything, I would have put them in red since I chose aqua for my bridesmaids and groomsmen, and red for the ushers/officiant :)
Until it got bumped up to October, I had these colors too! I planned to also use some champagne and damask. B&W damask is beautiful w/ these colors.
i think keep it as and use those colors for everthing. if i did add a neutral it would be a linen color...like a very soft sand color.
This is my color combo and all we are doing is Aqua, Red and White. :) It is super fun. The braidsmaids dresses are from alfred angelo's color mix collection so the dresses are aqua with red accents (sashes/trims/etc - they all have different dresses) and red shoes. The groom is wearing a black tux with a white shirt and pool tie/vest while the groomsmen are wearing black tuxes with white shirts and red tie/vests.
I'd say a cream or light ivory. White would look good, but I personally dont like the starkness of white.
I have to agree with most.. like a white and/or taupe/putty/sand...
I love those colors, it will be beautiful!

Hi hive,
I need some help, My colors are a teal/aqua(undecided on the shade) and Red, for a beach wedding.
I've got a lot of inspiration and ideas of things I would like to use in these colors, but I'm starting to think I'm making things too matchy, and need a neutral of some sort to use so that the other two colors almost become more accents instead of boom in your face!
So, I need a color to tie them together, so that everything isn't all red and teal, what would a good choice be? any suggestions?
Thanks!
