I need help with my colour scheme. I do not want any white at the wedding and my dress is pink, the one below…
So I was thinking pink and black, I like things a bit different, with a striped table runner like so….
But now I am getting all paranoid that when I sit down, the pink on the tablecloth will clash with the pink of my wedding dress so I was thinking to reverse the colours and have black tablecloth but then thestripes would look wierd. Do you think there will be a bit TOO much black and pink goin on????
Any suggestions? Please help a desperate bride to be!!

I don’t think it will clash – I love the pink table cloth with the black striped runners, and don’t think you have to worry about your dress next to it at all!
In fact, I think it will look better if the dress and the linens are a slightly different colour so that you can see distinction in your photos.

@ykyegbride: I agree, don’t overdo it on the pink if your dress is pink. You want to stand out, not blend in with all the tablecloths in the room.

I think I like the reverse, have mostly black with touches of pink. That way it’s not too much pink!

I would be very weary of the pink on pink! I am also not a fan of white/ivory dresses behind a white tablecloth either. My dress is blush, and we are doing a full gold tablecloth with black accents on the table and my bouquet hanging off the edge (it will be a cascasde style with blush pink roses and ivory accents with ivory orchids and some of my grandma’s brooches). We have very little white/ivory in the space (yay!), basicallty just the guys shirts, some ivory in my bouquet, and the plates on the table.
If you are in a pink dress, I would want it to stand out. I would do a stiped black one or even a silver/gold table cloth at your table.
