I love those shoes, especially the Jimmy Choos! The only other thing you might want to consider is the shape of the heel- completely up to you. We're taking photos outdoors before the ceremony, so it'll be difficult to walk in stilettos (the pointy heels) because the heels will dig into the soil. Right now I'm looking into some high wedges, most of which I must admit, are not nearly as cute as the ones posted on this page.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Cole Haan will come up with cute gold, silver, or white wedge sandals within the next few months. They have a line called Nike Air, which combines the comfort of Nike sneakers with platforms/high heels.
Also, I'd want to make sure that the shoes have straps around the ankles. Can you imagine your shoe slipping off while walking down the aisle or during the first dance? =P Just another suggestion!
OMG, Anti-Zilla, i LOVE those jimmy choos!! i'm almost too afraid to find out how much those cost. the stuart weitzmans are also adorable. will you be dying your shoes, by chance?
these are the HIGH platforms i found that i'm considering right now...do you think they're not bridal-y enough?
ok i have no idea how to post a picture on this thing, so there's the link.
i'm so dyeing (sp?) the stuarts after the wedding... only problem is my church wedding isnt until aug 2009!! oh well, it'll be here when it's here.
but for my hawaii wedding this august i'm thinking of either the last pair i bought or a possible 4th pair... just depends when i dont have my hawaii wedding dress yet (wont get here til july)
i think these are casual enough for an island wedding, but not too casual - i love satin shoes - dye them after the wedding for more mileage!

re the aldos--- i dont know that they are or are not bridal enough - but do they match the look and feel of your dress?? if so - then go for it!
there are so many cute shoes out there! would you consider wearing another color also if you cant find "your" shoe in a platform??

in silver:

could be your "something blue"??

love these betsey johnsons!!

imo, i think you can do whateer when it comes to shoes!! and i also think shoes is the one area where it doesnt have to be overtly "wedding shoe-ish" whatever you choose have fun shopping!
How about this one?
Open toe sling with beautifully concealed NIKE AIR cushioning in fine satin. Petite buckle for fit. Fully leather lined. Fully padded leather-covered sock lining. Softly buffed leather sole. 4" satin-covered heel with mini platform.
oh wow, missbunny! those MUST be comfortable with nike air cushioning!! plus i think that color might work, i must track those down!
and antizilla, where are you finding these shoes?? they are adorable!
Miss Bunny, do you know the style name of the Cole Haan platform shoe? I looked on their website and could not find the shoe. It looks so comfy!
anti-zilla, can you tell me where those orange shoes are from? love those!
GOLDTOME~~ the information will cost you addressing 50 invitations for me! mmmwwwaaaaaahahahahha

i'm on the SHORT side and have been searching high and low for affordable, cream platform (and as comfortable as possible!!) bridal shoes with a 3.5-4 inch heel. the problem is, the ones i've been finding that are semi-cute just don't look "bridal-y" to me. i envisioned something that looks like satin, but so far the only ones i've found that might work are patent leather....
so my question is, do you agree that patent leather is not "bridal-y" enough?
also, if anyone has any suggestions to forward my way, it would be much appreciated!!
