Hello! Any help is greatly appreciated!! I choose the color Blue Velvet ( It’s a darker blue color from Davids Bridal) and I just found out they discontinued the color before we ordered the dresses! I saw something similiar at JCrew in Vintage Blue. I am looking for dresses a little more budget friendly ($100 or less) AND I would like different neckline choices. I have two Maids of Honor and one junior bridesmaid. I would like them in the same color and material (Chiffon preferably but I am open to whats available now) but with three different necklines! The wedding is 08/08 so I need to order them soon! If anyone has suggestions of where to look or who might have a good selection I would be so grateful!!! Thanks

I would look at Craigslist and other places where BM post their dresses for sale-including WB, and see if you can find some gently used in the style you like. I had great luck doing that!

You might try a department store – Nordstroms or Bloomingdales often have cocktail dresses. Or Jessica McClintock.
I empathize. I couldn’t find a dress I liked in my budget, so I asked a friend to sew them. Hopefully they come out great!

yeah, Marine is way darker in real life than it is online. Online it looks like a deep blue with green undertones… in real life it looks more navy with a hint of purple!

David’s Bridal may be able to call around and find enough of the dresses in the color you want for your bridal party. They will be floor samples but with a good dry cleaning, should definitely work.

thanks everyone for the advice– but i still find myself frustrated as ever!
I went to macys and nordstroms today with no luck. Macys had one that i liked but my problem is finding three different dresses in the same color and material for my three girls!
I had decided to just spend the extra money and get the ones in Vintage Blue from JCrew but when I went today to look at the swatch– the color is a LOT lighter than in the pictures!! So that is out!
and Yes, the Marine at DB is way to dark in person!
Sigh…. =) Who knew that a deep blue color would be so uncommon!

Be careful, wherever you decide to order from, to make sure that your bridesmaids all order at the same time, to assure that they are all being dyed from the same dye lot. They could end up in different colors if you don’t. I am so sorry that you are running into this problem, but perhaps a slightly darker or lighter blue would be to your liking, if you are still wanting to order from DB.
