I am in love with rose gold and i love it even more with a halo. FH and I went to a local jewelry store last week to look at wedding bands and when i tried on a really thin rose gold eternity band, we both knew that was the one. It had a warmth to it that the white gold didn’t have and to me, it looked expensive. I know that sounds silly but since I have so much sterling silver jewelry, white gold has been looking kinda costum-ish. Even though I know it’s not.

I much prefer rose or yellow gold to white gold when there are so many stones – I find in white gold the whole thing just melds together into one colour with a bit of sparkle (just my opinion!). I really love how with rose and yellow gold you can clearly see the contrast of each stone against the metal.
I’d also go the smaller oval – it will look plenty big with the double halo!! I’d worry with the bigger one the whole thing might look a bit too costumey.

@MrsLucero: You should let people vote on multiples because otherwise your poll doesn’t make sense.

18K rose gold is very peachy looking. It almost looks like yellow gold with just a tinge of something different. Most people assume my 18k rose gold Engagement Ring is yellow gold but they always do a double take and say “wait – is that yellow or rose?”
14K rose gold is much more rosey/pink – I think it looks more true rose gold when it’s 14K. my wedding band is 14k and there’s no mistaking it for yellow gold.
Something to think about.

@ceebree: My bad first post ever over here but I’m pretttttty sure I checked the box that said allow mutiple votes. but if I didnt just leave a comment instead 🙂
@FleeSircus: Thank you! I definitely like a hint of gold if 14 kt rose gold is more pink I can’t imagine I’d like it much.
@oOmrsstopaOo: I love silver!!! too bad it’s so soft 🙁 there’s really nothing like it. I have a ton of silver jewelry too my grandfather was Zuni/Mescalero and always surprised me with native jewelry any time i saw him. I know what you mean about the warmth I feel like 18 kt unplated would have something similar to that silver warmth

@christoffels: thank you! I’ve decided to go with the smaller oval for sure. my fingers are thin and i dont want the ring to cover everything. I know what you mean about the white gold i’m not a fan of platinum or 14 kt white or plated. i definitely like a hint of color. I feel like 18 kt has juuuust enough color to compete with the rose. they’re both such beatiful metals its a rough choice

@MrsLucero: Here’s my set. In this pic they look very similar. 14K rose gold does have many hints of hold it’s just more rosey
