I am trying to decide between 3 Maggie Sottero dresses….
1) Gatsby: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J1205LU
2) Janet: http://www.maggiesottero.com/collection.aspx?keywordText=janet&keywordType=any&page=0&pageSize=15
3) Adorae: http://www.sotteroandmidgley.com/collection.aspx
I am 5’6″, curvy and have a fairly flat stomach (at least once inside all the boning and corset!).I love the dresses but the model pictures just dont do them justice (the darn models are all too skinny and stick-ish and they lose the flow of the curves these dresses were designed for).
HAS ANYONE WORN THESE? DO YOU HAVE ANY “real body” PICS? Do you know how the three dresses will actually photogrpah on my special day? Are they comfortabel?
Can anyone provide the best or worst things they loved about their dress on the day of or they loved about it in the photos?
I am leaning towards the Gatsby but worried that it will not photgraph as well as the Janet… or even the Adorae… I think I am leaning Gatsby, Janet, Adorae… but its the photos issues… ANYONE??

I like the Gatsby, I’m partial to the name since I love the book, but it is so fitting. It’s a great vintage feel dress that looks elegant and classy.

I really like the Janet. Love the belt on it too.

Gatsby is beautiful! I kind of almost felt like cheating on my dress!

TBH my personal pref is Adorae, the others are pretty but not spectacular, though on a ‘real person’ as you suggested, could be a lot different. The Maggie site usually features quite a few Maggie brides.

I love curves and I love the adorae. That dress will exentuate the curves and flatter your thin stomach. Its so pretty and feminine.

I like the Adorae personally!

Adorae is gorgeous! I really think it will flatter your figure and bring out the best of it. 🙂

Look at the Gatsy and see the dress on the pictures of the real brides. I don’t think it photographed very well at all,at least in the pictures shown.

I love Adorae! I think it would do a great job of flattering your figure and accenting the curves you mentioned! So gorgeous!

I wanted the Adorae SOOOOOOO bad but couldn’t find a store near my to try it on in time. I finally ordered my Allure dress about 2 wks ago (with barely 5 months till the wedding) and 2 days ago got a call from a local shop that just got the Adorae in. I’ve been going back and forth with whether I should just go try it on, just to see…
