Hive, I need your help! Some of our guests are bringing along guests/dates. This is not a problem, except when it comes to escort cards!! If I dont know the names of the people coming, what should I write on their escort card?

I would contact your guests and ask?
Otherwise I would put Guest of John Smith. Sounds better to me.

Can you call the guest and get the name of the date they are bringing? It would make the escort cards easier and that person feel more welcome and less like a random person.

One time when I went to a wedding with my then bf his card said “John Smith and guest.” So we were just on one card.
If you’re close to the people who are bringing guests and there are not many, you could have someone call and ask the guests names.

Are the people you invited not filling out the names of their guests on their RSVP card?

I tried contacting them, but cant get a hold of them. There are only 2 or 3, so its not a lot. It wouldnt be a table full of “guest of…” so thats good. 🙂

Yeah, I would do “guest of…” if you have no idea. It’ll be fine 🙂

NOT A SINGLE person that got a guest replied with their guests name on the RSVP. Shoot, some came back blank! I’m having this dilemma too as I don’t feel like calling 60 people to ask for a guests name. On top of that, we had 38% fail to RSVP in time that we’re trying to track down… so part of me wants to say, “Hey, if your too lazy to write your guests name, I’m too lazy to call and find out.” Of course, the best is to try and get their name… bummer though
