If you don’t mind me asking, what is your budget?

The only other designer that comes to mind is Inbal Dror, but each dress probably retails at 8k and up. (I saw one at a bridal show a couple weekends ago)

@mrsgood:

How set is your heart on wanting designer gowns??

I poked around Etsy and only saw one seller from Israel that does cowl back dresses.

Then images search on Google brought me here:

If I was in your position, I would look around for local seamstresses that could emulate a dress like that. Just make sure that the seamstress involves you with the fabric choices.

That would totally work!! 🙂

You’d probably need a wider span of tulle for the cowl effect in the back.

I really like the dress you tried on, actually. Then, you could find the best world from various cowl backs that you like! 🙂

That’s a beautiful gown, one of my favourites. Do you know how much it sells for? I know AF’s more simple gowns retail from about $4K, but I’d imagine that one is more because of all the detail.

Returning to your question – with your budget, I would probably get the gown custom-made by a designer (someone local, not online). That way you can ensure the quality of the materials, the design etc – because I think the beauty of that dress is the softness of the lace and tulle, and you would only be able to control that if you were working closely with a designer.
