Check to see first if there is a penalty for canceling the order. It might not be worth it to find another place if you end up paying more.
We ordered my BM dresses through Netbride and the dresses came in a month early. I don't know if they carry Dessy, but you could check them out and they do ship to different addresses, so you wouldn't have to worry about shipping.

I wanted to see what the hive would do in this scenario - bc I'm having a little bit of a wedding freakout and I don't know what to do.
Back in February, I went with 4 of my BMs to pick out dresses at a bridal shop. I was just having them pick whatever tea length they wanted in a certain fabric - and they all came from the Dessy line generally. I have two other BMs that couldn't be there that day, but those four all got orders placed & paid. One of my sisters went back and paid for hers a couple weeks later, and then a friend of mine was just handling hers now (I know, late, but she is unemployed and I didn't mind).
In the course of my friend calling them and placing her order, she mentions to me that she couldn't get it shipped separately (to DC) bc the salespeople were doing the order as a unit. I did a double take and was like.. wait.. They had told us all the dresses would be shipped separately bc they all chose different styles (ridic shipping policy) and early in February when I asked, they said it would be no problem for the other girls to wait awhile longer to order theirs. So I felt pretty blindsided by the news that NONE of them have been ordered - we were expecting to get the first four some time this month.
I called the shop and they were fairly unhelpful, standing by their unfortunately vague policy that hadn't been explained to us in the first place (seriously, I double checked with my mom to make sure I was remembering everything correctly).
The dresses apparently take 4 months. If they get ordered this week, that puts them at arriving just a month before the wedding. I would have to ship them myself to two of the girls on the east coast.
So what would you do? We all like the dresses but I don't know if that's cutting it WAY too close to our wedding date and if I should try to just cancel the order. Thoughts?
