Ok, so I am a complete mess following a break up.
I am in charge of planning all the games/activities for a girl friend’s Princess theme bridal shower which is coming up quick (last minute because a few of the other girls had scheduling issues).
My head/heart is empty. I am trying to keep a cheery outlook and act very excited but it’s a little hard. At first I had this whole complicated thing where we would do a storybook reenactment of the bride’s life complete with prince charming. Now I think with little time left and my bordering crazytown mental status, I need something easy, enjoyable and not too overdone (I think most of these girls are going to weddings up the wazoo so I have to be unique).
HELP! Any easy, unique and maybe princessy bridal shower games to share?

I like the get to know the bride game- not sure if you would consider it overdone. Basically you print out a list of like 10-25 things. They include things like
The bride loves_______ movie find someone who has seen it
the bride loves_______ food find someone who likes this movie
The bride always has ________ in her purse find someone with it in their purse.
The bride is wearing ______color _____ (shoes, shirt etc) find someone else with this color on
You have to move around and talk to other guests to complete your list, with the first person to finish getting a prize. I like it because its focused on the bride, but the guests also get to spend time getting to know each other, and people seem to enjoy it. While the game itself isn’t princess-ish maybe the prizes could be?

For a princess theme you could play the first little bit of signature Princess songs and have the guests write down the name of the prince, princess, and movie it’s from (or alternatively the name of the song). For example play the intro to “A Whole New World” and then on the answer sheet everyone would have to write down Aladdin, Jasmine, and the movie title “Aladdin”. Could be a fun activity with a winner.
Another fun one to do would be like a quick memory game. Show everyone a basket or bag with different Princess related items in it such as nail polish, a crown, etc. and then see how many items each person can recall as they try to write them all down.
To get people up and moving you could have everyone divide into small groups and use toilet paper or Princessy wrapping paper to dress up a model in her best princess outfit and have the bride to be judge the models.
Traditional games include how well do you know the bride, or how well do all these ladies know the groom.

@MsATC: Thanks so much! The memory game sounds easy and fun!
@nikkialys: oh cool i’ve never heard of this one before! thanks! I like it because it is bride centered but gets people involved.
Bumpity Bump! Help a poor girl out! 🙂

how about a game where you match up princesses with their princes?
on a sheet of paper – one column would be princesses (or queens) and the other column would be princes (or kings). Put them in random order and ask the guests to match up the couples.
can be real or fictional characters

None unless you give really good prizes. The only shower where I actually wanted to participate was one where the prizes were bottles of wine. Woo hoo!

just want to add – that memory game is really fun! Guests love it.
We put a little spin on it. . .along with asking about items on the tray
we asked questions about the woman holding the tray (she leaves the room after walking around with the tray)
what color is Jill’s shirt?
Is Jill wearing earrings?

One that’s always been a hit at the showers I’ve been to is Toilet Paper Bride. I’m not sure it’s that unique but it’s always good for a laugh.
You break everyone into groups of 3-5, then give them TP and 5 minutes to create a wedding dress for one of the girls (usually a bridesmaid). The bride is the judge that picks the best/most creative dress.
